PROJECT
Chapel Windows(Hand-painted and air-brushed with laminated prismatic and clear glass textures.)
The chapel artwork relates to the overall theme of Abraham and Isaac’s journey together up the mountain and the binding of Isaac. Our intention with the glass artwork was to create evocative and prophetic pieces that would challenge and delight the eye while leading the viewer into a deeper dimension of color, word and form.
The central art glass is designed and created in a lyrical style with flowing, unbroken forms. Based on a painting from Laya Crust’s superb “Creation” series, its clear compelling pathway invites the viewer to voyages of discovery – whether outward to uncharted lands, or inward to the hidden realms of the heart.
Glass artist Sarah Hall has enfolded the painting in an exquisite border made up of prismatic and iridescent glass squares. These catch the south light, sending a parade of colors across the walls of the Chapel – a joyful illumination that reminds us of Abraham’s strong and abiding faith in God.
