3 Blessed Sacrament Chapel Windows(Leaded Window with etching and plating, 2 sandblasted and gold-leaf interior windows.)
Holy Spirit Window
The main window in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel is based on the theme of the Holy Spirit. It is a lively, firey image which may also remind people of the Burning Bush or the Pillar of Fire which led the Hebrews to the Promised Land. The Blessed Sacrament Chapel holds a special place within the fabric of St. Vincent de Paul Church. In position and function, it can be seen as the "heart" of the church. Held within the sanctuary, protected by its stone walls, the chapel provides a spiritual focus, and a sense of refuge. At the same time it is not isolated.
Through the window the chapel maintains a direct connection to the outside. The window is an eye to the world, which brings light to the interior and conveys to its surroundings, through form and color, the spiritual strength that lights the heart of the church.
Interior Sanctuary Windows
The two twelve foot sanctuary windows are a glass screen between the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and the main sanctuary. My intention was to create a ‘veil’ of delicate light which gave a sense of mystery and beauty to the Tabernacle.
